OUR MISSION To build greater capacity in emerging and existing Latino leaders for the purpose of transforming the church, community, and academy through:
HISTORY The Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Leadership was established in the year 2000 as Vanguard University’s Center for Urban Studies and Ethnic Leadership under the direction and leadership of Dr. Jesse Miranda. In 2006 the center was renamed as The Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Leadership. The renaming of the Center formerly recognizes and honors Dr. Jesse Miranda’s life-long commitment and contribution to change and transformation in the Latino church, the Hispanic community, and the academy. As of 2008, The Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Leadership incorporated as a non-profit 501.c.3 that continues to be located on the campus of Vanguard University of Southern California. As the Founder and President, Dr. Miranda continues to provide the kind of visionary leadership that promises to launch the Miranda Center into a whole other level of organizational effectiveness and success. As a result of his visionary leadership, the Miranda Center maintains a strategic partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) and proudly serves as the research arm of the NHCLC. |
